ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard

GT Capital supports evaluation of its corporate governance standards and practices by national and international bodies to ensure that it adheres to prevailing best practices, achieving sustainable long-term growth and value creation.

Committed to sound corporate governance, GT Capital is assessed annually by the Institute of Corporate Directors, and from time to time, by regional assessors as regards its compliance with best practices found in the ACGS, which was released by the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum. The ACGS is premised on the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Corporate Governance Principles and contains rigorous methodology benchmarked against international best practices. To assist the ICD, regional assessors, and investors in determining GT Capital’s compliance, the Legal and Compliance Department conducts an annual self-assessment using the ACGS, which it posts in the GT Capital website.

The recognition received by GT Capital in 2015 from ACMF as one of the top 50 publicly-listed companies (PLC) in corporate governance in the ASEAN Region and one of the two most-improved PLCs in the Philippines fortified its commitment to continuously adopt various initiatives recommended in the scorecard with a goal of becoming a front-runner in corporate governance in the Philippines and in the ASEAN region.
