Wilfredo A. Paras, 75 years old, Filipino, was elected as Independent Director of GT
Capital on May 14, 2013. He currently holds various positions in other Philippine
corporations, such as: Independent Director of Philex Mining Corporation, a listed
company, (2011-present); Independent Director of RL Commercial REIT, Inc. (2021-
present); Member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer of Dualtech Training Center
(2012-present); He also served as the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer
and Director of JG Summit Petrochemical Corporation; President of Union Carbide
Philippines; President/Director of Union Carbide-Indonesia; Managing Director of Union
Carbide Singapore; and Business Director for Union Carbide Asia-Pacific. Mr. Paras
holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Pharmacy degree from the University of
the Philippines and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the De La Salle University Graduate School of Business. He finished a Management Program
from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. He has a certificate on
Leading with Finance from the Harvard Business School Online. He is also a Teaching
Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
