HeART FOR A CAUSE: Giving Hope to Children With Congenital Heart Disease
Every year, thousands of Filipino children are born with congenital heart disease (CHD)—a condition that requires specialized treatment, advanced procedures, and long-term medical care. For many families, the diagnosis is devastating, not because they lack courage, but because they lack the resources to sustain the fight for their children’s lives.
Manila Doctors Hospital, through its Corporate Sustainability Initiatives Office (CSIO), helps bridge this critical gap. Their programs provide access to essential diagnostics, life-saving surgeries, and compassionate support that would otherwise be beyond reach. Each child given another chance at life is a reminder of what collective compassion can make possible.

This mission is strengthened by the partnership of Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH), GT Capital Holdings Inc., Metrobank, Bayo Foundation, and artist Kat Garcia, united in giving young heart patients the healing and hope they deserve.
To sustain this advocacy, several fund-raising initiatives were launched: the HeART for a Cause Charity Concert and Dinner, an artwork exhibit and sale, and special merchandise—including cards, multipurpose bags, scarves, and notebooks—available through the Bayo website. These activities open more avenues for the community to help save young hearts.
